It is with bittersweet emotions that I announce my retirement from active practice as of September, 2017. Although I am very much looking forward to the next chapter of my life, it will be difficult to leave patient care. Since finishing my training in 1983, I have been a part of this practice providing direct patient care. It has been an honor to care for you; I have loved every minute of it.
Fortunately, I practice with a group of dedicated eye doctors who are ready and willing to continue your care. If you have previously seen Dr. Schermer or Dr. Rogers and would like to transition your care to either of them, please let the office know. Alternatively, the practice is bringing on a new optometrist, Dr. Mitul Patel. He interned in the practice this past year and will be joining us in July. Appointments to see Dr. Patel will be available beginning in September.
Your medical records are held in highest confidence and will remain in this office. Our staff can address any questions or concerns that you may have.
I want to thank you for all the years of loyalty. I will never forget you and have greatly valued our relationship. Best wishes for a future of good health and vision.
Beryl Bechtold Hunt, O.D.
